The Ransomware

May 12th 2017 we saw the Biggest cyber attack  in internet history. It was biggest attack then the Dyn DDOS attack.

An group of attacker named "wanna cry" was get's some vulnerability in the Microsoft Windows OS and attack them using a malicious software like virus named "Ransomware". This  vulnerability first finds by NSA, and then publicly released to the world by the Shadow Brokers.

The ransomware may also encrypts the computers master files and full hard disk then ransomware is a denial-of-access attack. It stops the computer users from accessing files until the decrypt the all files without the decryption key.

When it popular, the scam of ransomware was increase initially. In few hours' 2,00,000 machines were infected. Big organizations such as Renault or NHS were struck and crippled by the attacker.

The ransomware will affect when someone is clicking on spam email's and activating macros in a malicious document in a few seconds, All their data will be encrypted and they'll have just a few days to pay hundreds of dollars to get it back. Unless they have backup, which most people don't.

What is Ransomware ?

Ransomware is a malware software. We also can say that it is a virus which lock's the computer by any black hat hacker and demands the money. It is like blackmailing.

The Ransomware are basically Two types.

•  Screen-ware    
•  Encryption-ware

When an attacker attacks on any victim by the ransomware ( Screen-ware ) malware/virus then the ransomware ( Screen-ware ) will lock's the computer screen and all screen shows the massage like "Your pc are locked, now you pay me ---- dollars then i will unlock your pc.

When an attacker attacks on any victim by the ransomware ( Encryption-ware )  malware / virus then the ransomware ( Encryption-ware ) will encrypt's all the data of your pc and demanding money for decryption key.

The Ransomware is a malicious software which blocks the access of victim's data and delete it until the attacker is paid.  Any action is possible once a device and system will effected then there is not sure possibility that the attacker give us the access and not delete the data after paying the attacker.

How to Survies for Ransomware ?

1. Keep Your windows up-to-date. (Microsoft windows will releases the patch update for Windows os. 
2. Do not open spam and tares e-mail's.
3. Do not download any document/software/application etc from the un-trusted websites and sources.
4.  do not surf un-trusted websites.
5. do not use un-trusted networks.
6. Use an secure and trusted (I recomended paid) antivirus.
